Activation Problem:

• Have you tried both Standard and Datacenter product keys and get errors with both?
• run: c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs /ipk {product_key}

Cannot brows SMB/CIFS Shares:

• Open: Server Manager
• Click: (2) Add roles and features
• Click: {Next}, {Next}, {Next}, {Next} – 4 times to get to “Features”
• Click checkbox: “SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support” and run through the installer.
• Reboot Server.

Error 0x80004005 when trying to access a share:

• Hit {Windows Key} and type in “Edit group policy” and open it.
• Goto: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Network\Lanman Workstation
• “Enable insecure guest logons” – Enable
