I found this very nice github release of an “Arduino library that reads stores network settings to EEPROM”
The nice thing about it is that it stores this in your Arduino, so now you can configure every Arduino with a different IP address and mark them on the back for identification!
EVEN IF YOU REMOVE THE SHIELD THE IP ADDRESS WILL BE STORED!
