I know I have posted a lot of details how to upgrade and install software via a Proxy Server (I use pfSense, one of the best firewalls out there!), but this is an ALL-IN-ONE guide:

1. Command-line – apt:

export http_proxy=”http://:”
export https_proxy=”http://:”
export ftp_proxy=”http://:”

2. wget:

vi /etc/wgetrc (And Change the values)
https_proxy = http://<IP>:<PORT>/
http_proxy = http://<IP>:<PORT>/
ftp_proxy = http://<IP>:<PORT>/

more to follow…
