Adding a CIFS (Samba) mount point to linux (OMV).

Follow these steps:

  • apt-get install vim
  • apt-get install cifs-utils
  • mkdir /mnt/books
  • vi /etc/fstab

//<IP>/stuff/Books /mnt/books cifs guest,_netdev,uid=<USER> 0 0

NOTE: adding a space in the mountpoint will look like this " \ 0 4 0 " without the quotes and spaces
