Linux: Find a file containing a string.

I have not posted for a while, but found a couple of gems to find a file containing a string.

Very easy:

find / -type f -exec grep -i pattern ‘{}’ \; -print

or:

grep -rl “STRING THAT YOU WANT” *

or:

find / -type f | xargs grep -l pattern
