Local NW: 192.0.0.0 (router address is: 192.0.0.9)

Remote NW: 192.0.2.0 (router address is: 192.0.2.1)

To add a remote route:

route -p add 192.0.2.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.0.0.9

To add a local route:

route -p add 192.0.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.0.2.1

What this means:

route <persistent add> <add the route> <netmask> <255.255.0.0> <local router connecting to remote router>
